IN Design + Construction is a sister company to IN Engineering + Planning, we are looking for a Construction Coordinator to assist our clients throught the review and execution phase of our projects. We are seeking someone who is highly organized and experienced in all aspects of residential and commercial construction. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining safety and compliance.

Supervise daily on-site construction activities to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications
Coordinate subcontractors, trades, and suppliers to maintain workflow and resolve field-related issues promptly
Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and safety meetings
Maintain accurate and up-to-date site documentation including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records
Assist in scheduling and sequencing of trades to optimize productivity and minimize delays
Review construction drawings and specifications to identify discrepancies and propose field solutions
Communicate regularly with project managers and design teams to report progress, flag issues, and align on project goals
Oversee delivery, staging, and inventory of materials and equipment to ensure timely availability and proper handling
Support permit inspections and coordinate with municipal authorities to ensure compliance and readiness
Lead site meetings and toolbox talks to align crews, reinforce safety protocols, and maintain high performance standards
  • Proven experience in site coordination or field supervision within residential or commercial construction
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, trades, and sequencing
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Familiarity with local building codes, OH&S regulations, and workplace safety standards
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills for managing crews and subcontractors
  • Solid problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills under pressure
  • Proficiency in site documentation and reporting tools (e.g., daily logs, safety records)
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with construction management software
  • Valid Driver’s Licence and reliable transportation
  • Certification in construction safety (e.g., WHMIS, Working at Heights, First Aid)
  • An Engineering Technician (2 year) diploma.
  • Interested in construction and engineering.
  • Experience putting together permit drawing packages an asset.
  • Technical drawing with AutoCAD required
  • Experience with Sketchup and Layout an asset.
