Reporting to the Controller, the Accounting Administrator will be an experienced bookkeeper, required to perform a variety of duties and responsibilities related to accounting. This position will also involve accounts payable and accounts receivable data entry, as well as follow-up on overdue accounts receivable billings. They will have strong experience with the Microsoft suite with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail is a must.
Responsibilities
- Data entry and coding of accounts payable
- Preparing periodic bank deposit
- Preparing weekly lists of payments to be made
- Managing accounts receivable, including invoicing clients and following up with clients regarding Past Due accounts
- Staying current with finance regulations
Requirements
- Work experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk
- Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures
- Familiarity with finance regulations
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Hands-on experience with MS Excel, payroll software, and accounting software; comfortable learning/utilizing new software as required
- Good organizational skills and team player
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information
- Detailed-oriented and strong analytic skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of Odoo enterprise management software an asset
